Priory Horizon House has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team.
This role is offered on a Full Time basis working 37.5 hours per week.
Salary £26,228 annually.


Horizon House, Nottingham is a residential addiction treatment service. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes nearby and Nottingham city centre approximately 2 miles from the service.
 
This is a new location opening as part of our existing service – offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Horizon House will provide a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK.  

This is a non-private service. All patients are referred through established local healthcare pathways.



What you’ll be doing

As an experienced therapist, support worker, therapy assistant, or administrator you will guide clients through daily group sessions, evening recovery-focused activities and psychoeducational workshops. Each element is designed to help clients develop practical coping strategies, build resilience and reduce their responses to everyday triggers. 

  • Ensure that the people who use our service have any needs or requirements met; including participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
  •  Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes. 
  • ·Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders. 
  • Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
  • To undertake keyworking responsibility for individual clients, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed.

What you’ll bring to the role

Candidates should have prior experience working in a healthcare, social care, or addiction support setting, ideally with individuals facing substance misuse challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work empathetically and maintain professional boundaries. Relevant qualifications in health and social care or addiction support are preferred but not always mandatory. Candidates must be reliable, able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and have a genuine commitment to supporting clients through their recovery journey.
