Support Worker

The Lighthouse, Stroud, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom

Pay rate: £13.60 per hour

Night shift  - 21.30 - 07.30. Weekend work included

The Lighthouse is a 5 bed specialist residential home for young people aged 13 - 18 with complex mental health and associated risk taking behaviours. The clients and staff therein are part of therapeutic and care services run by the Priory health division.

Our aim here at The Lighthouse is to ensure that the young people we invest in have the best residential experience in a therapeutic and homely environment. Care here is individually tailored to meet their needs and ensure the best outcome by investing in our young people’s future.    

You will be responsible for the supervision of our young people who display a range of behaviours relating to their mental health following their previous trauma. Participating in activities and engaging our young people around the home and within their daily routine as well as ensuring their educational needs are met.

The Lighthouse is a 5-bedded residential home for females aged 13- 18. The Lighthouse provides a unique package of care and support 24 hours a day and 365 days a year for young people within our care system. This provision is part of Priory’s transitional living services for young people and young adults, requiring support with risk taking behaviours offering the best possible care in their recovery journey
 

The Lighthouse is a large detached house near to Stroud Town Centre   We provide a high ratio of care, which enables a robust and proactive approach to risk management, whilst supporting people to engage with meaningful activity in the community.
