Job Description
Salary: £13.10 per hour
Shifts: 8AM - 8PM, 8AM -2PM and 2PM - 8AM including weekends

Job Description
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Not only is full training provided, but there are numerous career pathways available to you, including our Nurse Apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities
- Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
- Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
- Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
- Empathy, understanding and patience
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
- The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
- Competent in verbal and written English
- A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
- Experience in care
- NVQ Level 3

Stable Cottage is located within the grounds of Tithe Barn in the village of Sellack, Ross-on-Wye. Our home offers residential support for three people who are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability, who may also present behaviours that challenge. The cottage is in a semi-rural location, surrounded by peaceful countryside. Our passionate and dedicated team are committed to delivering quality care to everyone we support, within a homely and welcoming environment. Tithe Barn is located in Sellack, Ross-on-Wye. The service provides residential support for adults who are autistic or have a learning disability, and may also present with behaviours that challenge. We offer our residents the chance to live in a homely environment whilst receiving specialist support from caring, competent and well-trained staff. Our home is in a rural setting in the Herefordshire countryside and is surrounded by eight acres of private land, providing access to walks.
Disclosure
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
