Nights Support Worker (Part Time, 20hrs p/week)
The Priory Hill House are looking to recruit a Nights Support Worker to join their team at their site based in Pulham Market, Diss.
This is a part-time, permanent position working 20hrs p/week spread across X2 10-hour shifts from 21:15 - 07:15. You will be rotating between working Wednesdays & Fridays in week 1, and Saturdays & Sundays in week 2.
Hourly Salary Rate: £12.60 per hour (When taking on any overtime or bank holidays you will receive double pay, however this only applies when you are working overtime).
Hill House is located in Pulham St Mary, a small country village near Diss, Norfolk. The service offers residential support for seven people with a primary learning disability diagnosis. We are in a semi-rural location, off a main road, and surrounded by lovely views and beautiful countryside. Our team are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we support, providing them with the skills needed for them to live a healthier and happier life back in the community.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.

As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
- Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
- Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
- Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
- Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
- Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth

Qualifications and Skills

- A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
